Convert Videos to a Supported Codec

Sometimes a video is not in the correct format for using StreamYard's long form video sharing feature, or for uploading as a Video Clip. Even if you have an MP4 file, the file might use a unique codec that your browser doesn't support. Follow the steps below to easily convert it to the right format. 

We recommend h.264 video and AAC audio for StreamYard. If your video is already in this format, no need to convert!

How to Convert Your Video

  1. Go to this website and upload your video by clicking the Upload your file button (or drag and drop your video onto the page).

  2. Once it's finished uploading, choose MP4 from the dropdown box on the right.

  3. Click Convert file.

  4. Once it's finished converting, click Download MP4.
