You can pause your weekly or monthly paid plan for up to three months.

During the pause, you won't be charged, and you'll still have access to your recordings and other assets. You can also choose to restart your subscription at any time!

👉🏻  How to pause your plan

If you wish to pause your plan open our dedicated page and follow all the steps.

Alternatively, you can follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your StreamYard account
    2. Go to My Account > select Billing
    3. At the bottom of the page, click on Cancel StreamYard subscription
    4. Check the box next to It’s temporary, I’ll be back and click on Pause plan
    5. Select the duration. You can choose 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months.

Your plan will be paused at the end of your billing cycle and you can see when it would automatically restart before you pause it.

⚠️ If you try to go live when your subscription is paused, you'll be prompted to resume your plan. If you resume it, your subscription will be renewed, and you will be charged.

The pause cannot be extended if the billing cycle for the paid plan has ended and your pause already started. However, if you are still within the billing cycle and the pause hasn't kicked in as yet, you can resume the plan, then pause it again for longer. The maximum is 3 months.

⏰  We'll always show you a banner at the top of your account that tells you when it will end. You will not be notified when your pause is about to end, therefore we suggest setting a reminder on your calendar to track it personally.

👉🏻  How to resume your paused plan

You can resume your paused plan at any time by following these steps:

    1. Log in to your StreamYard account
    2. There will be a banner at the top of the page
    3. Click on Resume plan on the banner

💡
Remember: If you decide to resume your plan before the paused period ends, you'll be charged immediately and your renewal date will update accordingly.

For example: If you resume your plan on March 20th, a charge will occur immediately.
Your renewal will also be set on such date, so you'll be subsequently charged on April 20th, May 20th, and so forth, unless you cancel or pause your plan again.

👉🏻 Why choose
Pausing over Canceling

Pausing your subscription is different from canceling:

    • Pausing the plan allows you to put a hold on payments for a set time after which the plan will automatically restart. You'll have access to the paid features except for going live and recording when on pause.
Additionally, you can cancel your plan at any time while the account is on pause if you decide that you'd like to cancel instead.
    • Canceling ensures that you won't be charged again in the future. If you cancel, you will lose access to all the paid features, including your recordings. To check the status of your subscription visit the Billing page

Please see the table below for a further breakdown of the differences:

👉🏻 Having issues?

If you can't pause your plan, it might be due to different reasons:

  1. You are on a Business Plan OR you are not the account Owner.
  2. You are on a Free plan OR still trying out the Free trial of a paid plan OR a Yearly plan.
Please note that currently Annual Plans cannot be paused.
  3. If you have a monthly or weekly subscription and you are unable to pause it, your subscription might be in the renewal process.
