⚠️ On June 10th, 2024, Meta launched new requirements that must be met before an account can go live on Facebook:

  ▪   The Facebook account must be at least 60 days old
  ▪   The Facebook Page or professional mode profile must have at least 100 followers

StreamYard allows you to easily connect your Facebook profiles to your StreamYard account. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. First, navigate directly to Facebook.com in a new tab in your browser and log into the Facebook Profile that that you are wanting to connect to StreamYard.
  2. Head to the Destinations page on StreamYard and click Add a destination.

  4. You will see a window that tells you which permissions StreamYard is requesting access to, and an option to Edit Access

⚠️ We don’t recommend Editing Access as it may cause continuous permissions issues. If you do, make sure you grant access for ALL requested permissions for each of the pages/groups you want to use on StreamYard. Then click Continue.

  5. Next, you will have the option to set the privacy of your StreamYard integration. If you want everyone to be able to see your streams and also be able to see their comments in the StreamYard studio, make sure to choose Public. Then click Continue.

👉🏻 If you want viewer comments to appear on StreamYard, you’ll need to set your streams as public. For more details click here.

Important Notes

👉🏻 When connecting to Facebook, StreamYard will automatically connect to the profile that you are currently logged into.
If you are seeing the wrong profile, try navigating directly to Facebook.com, logging out of your current profile and logging into the correct one there before trying to connect it again in StreamYard. Alternatively, try opening StreamYard in a private window and connecting the profile there.

👉🏻 Sometimes StreamYard may lose access to the correct permissions for us to be able to connect to Facebook and access your profile information.
If you see that the connection is lost, navigate to your destinations tab > Click the three dots on your Facebook destination > Click Reconnect.
If you still encounter issues, try clicking Remove to remove the destination fully before adding it back to your account again. For more instructions on how to reauthorize your Facebook account, refer to the dedicated article: Reauthorize your Facebook Account.
