My Camera Works, but I Can't See Myself

If you're not seeing an error message, and have enabled your camera, but aren't able to see yourself, try checking the following:

  1. Add to stage. To see your video feed, hover over the small box at the bottom left of the studio with your name on it, and click Add to stage.
  2. Is an overlay covering up your camera? Overlays show on top of everything else on the stream and may cover up your camera if they aren’t transparent. On the right panel, click on Brand and disable any overlay by clicking on it.
  3. Can you see yourself in camera settings? To verify, click on Settings > Camera, and see if you show up. If your camera appears black here, it may be covered or disabled via a hardware or software switch.
  4. Do you have the Virtual Background feature active? Sometimes, graphics processing issue can cause your camera feed not to display properly. Try disabling any active virtual backgrounds by going to Settings > Virtual Background.
  5. Does your camera work in a separate browser? Sometimes, browsers have issues with device access. We recommend testing in Chrome and Firefox.

Have you added yourself to the stage?

In order to see your video feed, you will need to click the Add to stage button on yourself.
