Introduction

This Content Moderation Policy describes how we moderate content on StreamYard in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, “DSA”), the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S. Code § 512, “DMCA”), and the Take it Down Act (Public Law No. 119-12 (05/19/2025)).

This Content Moderation Policy describes StreamYard’s notice and takedown procedures, counter-notice and appeal mechanisms (where available), enforcement actions, and includes other useful information.

This Content Moderation Policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users and third parties interacting with StreamYard.

For details on the rules governing content and user behavior on our platform, please refer to the Community Guidelines.

Additional information is available on StreamYard’s DMCA, DSA, and Take It Down Act information pages.

Overview of content moderation procedures

We may use a combination of automated tools, human review, and, in some case, third-party moderation providers to detect, be notified, assess, and act on content that may violate applicable laws or breach our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

We may use automated systems, including AI-based technologies, to monitor content. However, we do not undertake to review every piece of content uploaded to our services, nor do we perform any form of pre-approval or pre-clearance of content prior to its submission.

We respond to notices of alleged infringement of third-party rights that comply with and satisfy the requirements set out by applicable law.

The use of these moderation measures does not relieve users of their obligations under the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

How to report a content

To notify us of allegedly unlawful or infringing content on StreamYard, you may submit a notice through the Content Report Form. The form can also be accessed by right-clicking directly on the content you wish to report.

Your submission will include at least:

  • The URL(s) or other clear reference to the reported content
  • A reasoned explanation of why the content is unlawful or infringing
  • Your full name and email address
  • A declaration of good faith confirming the accuracy of the information provided

What happens after you report a content

Upon receipt of a valid and complete notice, we may investigate any suspected violations and, during such investigation, temporarily block access to the content and suspend access to the service. Following our investigation, where we have reasonable grounds to believe that a violation has occurred, depending on the circumstances, we may: (a) temporarily or permanently remove or disable access to some or all of the reported content, (b) terminate the account (if any) of the infringing user and access to any portion or all of the service, and (c) disclose the reported content, the infringing user’s registration information, and any other relevant information, to governmental or public authorities, law enforcement agencies, or third parties, where legally required or reasonably deemed necessary to comply with our legal obligations, protect our interests, or safeguard third parties.

Notifications

Where we have the relevant electronic contact information, we provide communication to both the individual who submitted the report and the user whose content is subject to moderation, unless disclosure is restricted by law or necessary to prevent abuse.

The reporting party is notified upon receipt of their notice and, where appropriate, informed of the outcome of the review.

When content is removed, access is limited, or other enforcement measures are taken, the affected user is informed. This communication may include, where applicable, the type of action taken, the reasons for the decision, the general source of the report, and guidance on whether and how to request a review of the moderation measure.

We may delay or withhold notifications when required by law enforcement or legal obligation, when necessary to prevent harm or abuse, or when the notice is manifestly abusive or fraudulent.

If you disagree with a moderation decision

Users who believe their content was removed or restricted in error, if permitted by the process or requested by applicable law, may dispute the decision by submitting an appeal or counter-notice through the link provided in the notification of the enforcement action.

Your submission will include at least:

  • Identification of the affected content
  • A clear explanation of why the decision is deemed incorrect
  • A good faith declaration confirming the accuracy of your statement

Where applicable, we will review appeal or counter-notice submissions and notify the parties of the outcome.

Repeat infringement and misuse

We take the integrity of our content moderation systems seriously.

Users who repeatedly share infringing content and users or third parties who abuse or misuse our reporting or appeal mechanisms may be subject to enforcement actions. These may include restrictions on account functionality, suspension or termination of accounts, loss of access to moderation tools and, where appropriate, legal action.

We may also report misuse or unlawful conduct to competent authorities where required or appropriate.
