Pop-Out Chat lets hosts and cohosts view the studio's comments panel in a separate, dedicated window or on a second device — ideal for multi-monitor setups where you want to keep an eye on viewer comments without switching focus from your main studio view.

How to use Pop-Out Chat

  1. While streaming, click Comments to open the chat panel.
  2. Click the pop-out icon in the bottom corner of the panel.
  3. Choose your preferred option:
    • Open in new window — Opens the comments view in a compact browser window (480×720 pixels). Drag this to a second monitor to check viewer comments while keeping your main studio on your primary screen.
    • QR code + copy link — Scan the QR code or copy the link to open the same comments view on your phone or tablet.

What does the pop-out window show?

The pop-out window displays only the live comments stream with a minimal header — no studio controls or panels. Comments update in real time, just as they do in the main studio.

Who can use Pop-Out Chat?

  • The pop-out chat button is visible to hosts and cohosts only. Guests do not see this button.
  • Pop-Out Chat is only available on desktop browsers. It is not available on mobile.

FAQ

  • I don't see the pop-out button — Make sure you are using a desktop browser and that you have host or cohost permissions in the studio. 
  • Where did the pop-out button go after my stream ended? —  Pop-Out Chat is a live tool, so the pop-out button only appears while you're broadcasting. Once your stream ends, it's replaced by the Export button in the bottom-right of the Comments tab, which lets you download your chat history as a .txt file. The two never appear at the same time.
