In some cases, live streams on X may not appear as a standard post on your profile or in your followers’ timelines. If you’re live but can’t find a post you can share, try manually posting the live (or replay) from within X.
Manually post the live from X
During or right after going live, use X’s Share option to manually post the live (or replay) to your timeline:
- Log in to your X account
- Open your profile and click your profile photo (where you may see a LIVE label).
- Click the Share button (bottom-right) and select Post this.
- Add a short message (optional) and leave the pre-filled link as is.
- Click Post.
This should create a regular post on your timeline that you can share like any other post.
Tips
Ask followers to turn on notifications for your account, since notifications can be one of the most reliable ways they’ll see you’re live.
Check both mobile and desktop, since the behavior can differ.
