Using Closed Captions on LinkedIn

LinkedIn now offers automatic captions for your live streams.

A couple things to note: 

  • Currently, automatic captions only support English audio content.
  • Captions are automatically added and your viewers can toggle them on or off. As the broadcaster, you can disable auto-captions on LinkedIn from appearing at anytime. 

How to Disable Closed Captions on LinkedIn:

  1. On your LinkedIn Live video post, click Edit Video.

  2. Click to toggle the Video Captions "OFF." Then click "Done."

How to Toggle Closed Captions On/Off as a Viewer:

When your live video includes captions, your viewers can toggle them ON/OFF. To do so, click the "CC" button at the bottom right of the video player window.
