Are you creating your own custom assets for your live stream and want to make sure they fit your stream perfectly? Here are the specs for every brand asset on StreamYard.

Quick sizes:
Logos: 200p x 200p
Overlays/Backgrounds: 1280p x 720p
Thumbnails: 1280p x 720p
Logos
When adding your logo to your StreamYard dashboard, be sure your logo meets the following requirements.
- Dimensions: 200p x 200p
- File type: JPG, PNG or GIF (with a transparent background)
To add your logo enter the studio and click Brand then click the plus (+) sign under "Logo."
Overlays
To add a custom overlay to your StreamYard live broadcast, first design your transparent image in your favorite graphics program, such as Figma, Canva, Easil, or Photoshop.
- Dimensions: 1280p x 720p
- File size: less than 20MB (under 3MB for GIFs)
- File type: JPG, PNG or GIF (with a transparent background)
Overlays are always full screen, but they can be transparent so you don't cover yourself or your guests when you display the overlay in your live stream.
Here's how to make a custom transparent overlay similar to the default overlay in the studio:
To upload your own overlay enter the studio and click Brand then click the plus (+) sign under "Overlay".
Video Clips
You can also upload video clips to your StreamYard Brand folders.
Video clips are a great place to add an intro video, a countdown timer, or an outro video to end your broadcast.
- Dimensions: 16:9 ratio (1920p x 1080p or 1280p x 720p)
- File size: less than 200MB (1.2gb on StreamYard Business)
- File type: MP4
- Length: under 10 mins (60 minutes on StreamYard Business)
To upload your video clip enter the studio and click Brand then click the plus (+) sign under "Video Clips."
If your video is longer than supported, you can use the local video sharing feature instead. Here's how.
Backgrounds
StreamYard supports using images or videos as backgrounds! Create and upload your own in the Brand tab, or use one of our provided example backgrounds.
Image Backgrounds:
- Dimensions: 1280p x 720p
- File size: 20MB (3MB for GIFs)
- File type: JPG, PNG
Video Backgrounds:
- Dimensions 1280x720p
- File size 200MB
- Length: 1 min
- File type: MP4 or GIF
Remember, your background image will go behind you and your guests' video feeds. It is not a virtual background so it won't replace your home/office behind you. Learn more about green screen virtual backgrounds here.

Thumbnails
You can upload thumbnails for Recordings, Live streams, and On-Air Webinars in StreamYard. For thumbnails we recommend:
- Dimensions: 1280p x 720p
- File size: 20MB or less
- File type: JPG or PNG
Tickers
Tickers (scrolling banners) fill the entire frame horizontally, and are 42 pixels tall (in a 1280p x 720p canvas)
