What is Echo Cancellation?

Are you live streaming or recording in an environment where you have a lot of noise or are not using headphones? If so, you will want to enable echo cancellation in your studio settings. When you enable echo cancellation, this will add audio processing features such as echo cancellation, noise suppression, and audio gain to help improve your audio quality.

If you or your guests have high quality microphones or are playing music we recommend disabling echo cancellation. If you disable echo cancellation, make sure to wear headphones! If you don't wear headphones, you will hear an echo when echo cancellation is off.

If you're using a mixer such as a Rodecaster Pro, GoXLR or Focusrite Scarlett device, we also recommend disabling echo cancellation.

Turn Echo Cancellation On/Off

1. In the studio, click on Settings.
2. Select Audio.
3. To enable echo cancellation, check the box.
To disable echo cancellation, uncheck the box.
