FAQs

What languages does the transcription feature support?
We currently support transcripts in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Can I edit the transcripts shown?
No. This is not yet supported.

Is there a length limit for transcribing videos?

There is no limit! However, videos must be a minimum of 1 minute for a transcript to be generated.

Will audio from screen shares be transcribed?
Yes. They will be transcribed if the speech is in English. However, transcripts will not be generated for videos shared through the screen share option if the video being shared is muted. The audio from video clips played from the brand tab will be transcribed as well.

Transcriptions for audio from people speaking in the studio will take priority over audio from screen share. This means if you speak over a video being played, the platform will transcribe your audio and not the audio from the video during this time.

Do transcripts show up in the editor for trimmed videos that I create from the main recording?
Yes! They will show up in the trimmed videos of the cloud recording. They will not show up in trims from a Shorts and Reels recording.

What happens to the transcript if I delete clips from my recording?
The deleted words will be removed from the saved edit. Transcripts that will be completely removed will appear struck-through in the editor.

Does this feature work on mobile devices?
No. This is not supported in mobile browsers at this time.

Can I download transcripts for trimmed videos, local recordings, or shorts and reels?
No. Transcripts can only be downloaded for the main recording (cloud recording) at this time.

What tools can I use to open the downloaded files?
.txt and .vtt files can be viewed in any text editor tool, such as Notepad on Windows, or TextEdit on a Mac.

Does the transcript include the name of the guest or host that was speaking?
No, this information will not be included but you can see the time stamps in the .vtt file download.
