How to Know if your YouTube Channel is a Brand Channel

In order to connect a YouTube channel as a destination in StreamYard, you will either need to be the owner of the channel, or be a manager on a "Brand" channel. Sometimes it may be tricky to figure out if the channel you are a manager of is a Brand channel or not.

YouTube's help document on how to check if your YouTube Channel is a Brand Channel can be found here

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts. You may need to sign into your account first.
  2. Check under "Your Brand Accounts" to find your associated Brand Accounts. If you don't see any accounts listed there, you are not the owner or manager of a Brand account.

  3. To check your assigned role on the Brand account, click on it, then click Manage PermissionsScreenshot 2023-12-10 at 9.05.38 PM.png
  4. Here, you can view everyone who is associated with the account, and their corresponding roles.
