How to Reconnect and/or Remove a Destination

Is StreamYard losing connection to your destinations? Seeing permissions-related error messages? Reconnecting or removing and re-adding them can help resolve these problems!

Custom RTMP destinations and Hopin destinations cannot be reconnected. They can only be edited or removed.

Reconnecting a destination

  1. Go to your StreamYard Homepage.
  2. Click on Destinations.
  3. Click on the three dots to the right of the destination that you want to reconnect.
  4. Click on Reconnect.

The page will reload and a message will appear at the top letting you know if the reconnection was successful.

Removing and Re-adding Destinations

  1. Go to your StreamYard Homepage.
  2. Click on Destinations on the left.
  3. Click on the three dots to the right of the destination that you want to remove.
  4. Click on Remove.
  5. A pop-up will appear to confirm your choice. Do not check the box next to "Delete upcoming broadcasts" on the destination unless you'd also like to delete all of your upcoming scheduled live streams that were created through StreamYard. These cannot be recovered if they are deleted.
  6. Click on Remove destination.
