How to Connect a Facebook Page to Your Instagram Account

If you want to add your Instagram account as a destination to publish Shorts/Reels to, it will need to be either a Professional Creator account, or a Professional Business Account, and connected to a Facebook Page!

Switching Your Personal Instagram Account to a Creator Account

  1. Go to your profile and tap the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Switch to professional account.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Select a Category for your profile and tap Done.
  7. Tap Creator.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. Add contact details and tap Next. To skip this step, tap Don’t use my contact info.
  10. Tap X on the top right corner to return to your profile.

  1. Go to your profile and tap the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Switch to professional account.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Select a Category for your business and tap Done.
  7. Tap OK to confirm.
  8. Tap Business.
  9. Tap Next.
  10. Add contact details and tap Next. To skip this step, tap Don’t use my contact info.
  11. Tap X on the top right corner to return to your profile.

Connecting Your Facebook Page to Your Instagram Account

  1. Go to your Instagram profile.
  2. Select Edit profile.
  3. Under Profile information or Public business information, Select Page.
  4. Tap Create Facebook Page or Connect an existing Page.
  5. Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to.
  6. Tap Done after you've selected a Page or created a new Page.
Your account is now connected to a Facebook Page. If the Page you'd like to connect is not showing in the drop-down from your profile, it may be because you are not an admin of that Page. Check your Page's settings and make sure you have permission to add that Page to your Instagram business profile.
